What was that example? He was guilty of no sin. Even if others trespass against us we must not trespass against them. Christ did not sin so we must not sin. He had no guile in his mouth and neither should we. This means that Christ was not deceitful. He was not dishonest, untruthful, insincere, disingenuous or untrustworthy and we also shouldn’t be any of these things.
Even while He was being criticized, condemned, attacked, denounced, defamed, slandered, vilified, besmirched, run down and abused. Christ did not sin.
Even though He was insulted, offended, abused, hurt, wounded, humiliated, rebuffed, treated disrespectfully and ignored, Christ did not retaliate.
He did not threaten or make threats of revenge. Rather, He did not cease or stop entrusting Himself to the One that judges fairly.
No matter the situation or circumstance that you find yourself in, follow Christ example. It may hurt. You may even be angry and want to seek revenge, but trust God with the situation. Hand yourself and the situation over to the One who judges every situation fairly and justly.
Lord help me to entrust myself to You daily the way Christ did knowing that You are fair and just.
